Social networks are already part of our lives. Obviously, they have an impact on every human being. Some say it is negatively affecting our social relationships. It is said that communication will be lost in the future generations, but we never know what will happen to them and us.

Since the social media have been spreading, they have had an impact on us. Truly, they improve the bond between people, to connect and interact with anyone, wherever someone is, as in Facebook or WhatsApp. However, another reality is that they took away the face-to-face treatment; people already talk on video-calls,as in Skype or Hangouts. Taking into consideration, the fact that it takes away privacyand are not all safe when we utilize them. Finally, it is a huge problem that the progress of the networksis causing us. 

On the other hand, we must have a broader view of the future. If we let this continue, relations will be handled by social networks, that are very weak. Although the essence of meeting with someone will be lost, destroying the communication and causing severe problems in education or concentration.  

To conclude, it can be said that social networks have been a great advance in society, but even so they are damaging the communication and relationships that are essential in our lives. It would be necessary to take some decision in this aspect so that in the future it does not disappear completely.

Nerve Review

I watched Ariel Schulman, Henry Joost movie "Nerve" a few month ago. It is set in the not too distant future, where technology takes much of the power over people. That power becomes a destructive and evasive game in the lives of people. The game consists of two parts, "Viewers" who are the ones who watch and those who make the game possible through their viceous observation, and the "Players" who are the participants, which through tests are gaining more viewers and generates more economic income. The goal of the game is to eliminate participants until generating a final between the two most acclaimed by the observation, and that one eliminates the other with contempt. The challenges are generated by the observers or by the same game, from time to time they are too risky.

To begin with, the movie has a great cast of actors, the main actress, Emma Roberts as Vee, a high school senior in Staten Island, gets sucked up into a sinister competition that emerges out of the deep web, "Nerve", that operates through a smartphone app, that had a really interesting rol as "Player", where it becomes very popular, but does not follow the rules of the game, its purposes are others, the correct ones. Altought, the partner of Emma in the movie Dave Franco as Ian, who occupates a very important role in the film, is a "Prisoner" of the game, and can not free himself from it even if he wins it. The game unites Vee and Ian, to meet challenges together and share part of their lives.

The challenges that are presented in the film are very interesting and they are the main attraction of it. The director and author, creates a very impressive ambience with the problems that are presented to the "Players", that if they do not comply are out. Create an atmosphere of tension, nervousness and very attractive anxiety. The challenges are life threatening and very overwhelming, it makes us want to try them and even not look at them at the same time.

To conclude, the movie is teen´s up, it very creative and presents a totally realistic and harmful society. Even so, i will reccomende it due to the fact that with his great cast it transmits the message, great time is spent while being watched.

Introduction

In my school students are expected to deliver oral presentations. The aims of this proposal are to identify which are the negative aspects students have with the kind of assignments that could be encouraged and recommendations to deal with these, as the head of the school asked us to.

Bad aspects of presentations

I inquest different students at school that have to give oral presentations. Most of them complained that learning by heart is very difficult, and that in some cases the content it is very long so as to learn it in that hard way, and they do not feel comfortable with it.

Others complained about speaking in front of the whole class, and that all the eyes are in looking at you although the ones of the teacher and make them feel nervous and they could forget what they have to say and have a bad presentation.

Recommendations

Clearly, something could be done such as to making the presentation easier for students. I would make the following recommendations:

·         Students could record what they have to say.

·         Students could be allowed to use a paper where they studied from in case they forget what they have to say.

·         Reducing the topics to present, but making more presentations.

These final recommendations will encourage students to be more comfortable at the time they present and they will get better grades.

Informal letter

Dear Tom,

I’m really sorry not to have written to you before. I’ve been up to my eyes in work. You told me in your email that you can´t get focused and that also you are getting stressed. Actually, I finished studying yesterday. If you want to get really prepared and pass the exams easily with not effort and not getting stressed, I can go to your house and give you a hand, however the exams start in one week and I could go only two days, I don´t know if we will cover all the content.

One tip I can give you is to leave the telephone for a couple of days, and relax for a day to clear your ideas, do whatever you want with someone else and expand your ideas. After that, the next day start studying again, obviously without the cell phone and anything that may call your attention and distract you.

Other tip I could give you is remember key words and make your own summaries and don’t study from someone else´s, I think that tip is the most effective and the one that will help you the most, and will you give a lot of knowledge and experience.

Please say hi to your brother for me, believe in yourself.

Obesity

A man world problem is obesity and not many people are aware of it, of what they consume and the exercise they do. This is a huge mistake, due to the fact that people don´t are informed about what they’re doing, so as a conclusion they have health problems. Others problems could be physical, which they depend on what people eat and the amount of exercises they do.

On the one hand, a possible solution for this huge world problem could be the education of people about food, meaning that is children are well equipped they have knowledge about nutrition; they will have a good lifestyle. This solution could be failed in some points due to the fact that all the children haven’t access to education.

On the second hand, another solution can be to expand the area of sports. This solution will provide a healthy life to people. Famous players and the best of the world in sports could transmit and tell what it feels and the good it make being proud and the satisfaction they feel when they make sports so as to attract people and convince them to make exercises. Another possibility could be making clinics of sports. Moreover, this solution could be failed because not all the people can afford it.

To conclude, obesity is a world problem and by improving education and the lack of knowledge of food, or expanding sports and the exercises, they could be solutions, apart from their weak points, from my point of view, improving the education will be the best solution to it.

Car driving

Cities have lots of problems deal with transport, mainly with drive parking. Lots of cars are park in places where they cannot be, where there is not allowed to do it, this problem brings dreadful situations such as heavy transport; people that illegally park produce all these kind of problems. For this situation there are different methods such as to improve or solve these transit problems with investment, or improving education.

In the one hand, such as to improve the transport problems, the education it is one option. This means make people being correct, although they have to be cautious, this will improve the problems due to the fact that people will not park in unavailable places, or live the car in the middle of the road making a disturb. Furthermore, to improve education there would be to spend a lot of money that is inverted in other projects, but education will not only improve the way of driving people has, it can change a whole country manners.

On the other hand, other way of improving transport is the investment in new park areas; this will allow people to park in new places where they do not break the law. Moreover, a lot of money has to be spent to make these new places for parking, although people will have to pay to live theirs cars there, which someone will not be in favour of that. Although many people will not use them because of they prefer live the car in the door of the places where they go and they doesn’t matter if they are making things wrong.

Finally, to conclude, there are ways of improving transport, such as investment in new park areas or improving education. From my point of view the best of both is improving education because it doesn’t only change the way of driving, also change the way people treats life laws.

In the class of LL.Writing we start to saw a type of piece of writing called Literary Essay so as we also read " The strange case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde" we made a literary essay about the symbolism of the fantastic story

Essay on "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"

"The strange case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde" whose author is Robert Louis Stevenson.Talks about a scientist called Dr. Henry Jekyll who interested in the duality of human nature. He creates a potion to separate his two sides : the bad one and the good one, when he drinks the potion, he turn into his bad parts called Mr. Hyde that takes him to death. The symbolism of the story, Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, will be the topic of this essay.

To star with, the most important buildings in the story represent the connection between Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde.On one hand, the laboratory symbolise the corrupt Hyde.It is the place where Mr.Hyde was born and died also he pass all the day the making potions and analysing things. " A certain sinister block of building". On the other hand, the respectable, prosperous- looking main house symbolises, the respectable Dr.Jekyll.  "The doctor had bought the house from the heirs of a celebrated surgeon".

Now, the most physical ugliness and deformity of Mr. Hide, symbolises his lack of moral and ethics, because his deformed body represents the luck of respect that he had with people. He has been repressed for years. His hairness may indicate that he is not only Jekyll´s evil side, but he represents his instincts. "I never saw a man I so disliked" this was said by Utterson when he saw Mr. Hyde and he describe it.

A s a conclution, we can say that this story symbolises the badness of a scientific person called Dr.Jekyll, that made a potion and he became addictive to it, and he can not control the transformation. For us this doctor is so crazy that he create a potion that when he drinks it he transform in a more crazy man.For us it is a great story, because the craziness of the Doctor and of Mr. Hyde makes a tension that makes more interesting the story.

News Report: First match defeat in two years

On october, 4th the All blacks were defeated for the first time by the Springboks 27-25. The match was played in the Ellispork stadium in South Africa. 

The match started at 17:05. The players were from South africa and New Zeland. It was an amazing match, the players were very excited and they played good rugby. New Zeland was winning the match till the last minute, but suddenly the Springboks scored a try. The best player of the match was Bryan Habana because he made the last try at the very last minute of the match and with that try the Sprinboks won and defeated the All Blacks. The latter had not lost a match in two years, so this is a real victory! 

It was a fabulous victory. There were lots of tense moments and people suffered a lot. South Africa players were very grateful for the match they had played and the New Zealand players too. They felt good anyway because they knew the all blacks had done their best win the match. 

People in South Africa were happy because they had won the match, even though they had not won Championship. People in New Zealand were happy anyway because they only lost one match in two years. Besides, They have won the Cup of the Championship tournament.

The Kidnapped

The 22 of March Ellen McDougall was kidnapped in the Unites Sates of America, In Washington DC. A group of Russian that were experts in kidnapping people, kidnapped her when she was walking to her house.

Ellen´s parents were Tom McDougall, a police detective and Any Hanqui a lawer. Tom reported to the police department what happened. A month later. Tom deduced that Ellen had been travelling to Russia. All the police department and Ellen´s parents travelled to Russia. Having arrived, Tom and Any were staying in a five star hotel, with the police department. The first week in Moscow was a normal week, there were no facts to alter the situation, the second, third and fourth week were in the same way as the first. In the fifth week the stress began. For any reason Ellen did not appear, there wasn´t evidence to find. One night while Tom and Any were walking they found Ellen´s shirt on the Trewô Street 1342. Tom checked if it was the T-Shirt of his daughter he sent it to a DNA test. The next night the answer come. It was her daughter´s shirt. This calmed the parents but then they realized they had to keep looking at Ellen.

The police department commented to the parents they would finished the casa. Tom got angry with the police, and he gave out angry his fury and the police understood their anger and told them to calm down, and that day they had to stay in the hotel because the police were going to do a special search in several places Ellen may be. Police went to several sites but they didn´t find trace or clue to help with the search of Ellen.Chief Mike Thomsomp, gave the order to go to the Street Twonr. After some hours searching. They saw a group of Russian people who fled with Ellen from an abandoned house, they got into a hammed and escaped. The Chief Mike followed the Hammer 30km. After the truck stopped at an airport. The passengers of the Hammer and Ellen got into a plane, and went on flying, Mike couldn´t get on. Mike checked on his cell phone  and it indicate that the plane was arriving at Yakutsk. All the staff of the police and Ellen´s parents travelled to Yakutsk airport. There they found the Russians who, had kidnapped Ellen and Ellen in the plane. When the plane. The kidnappers were arrested and sentenced to nineteen wears in prison. Any, Ellen´s mother won the court case. Now Ellen, Tom and Any are in her house in Washington DC, protected and grateful of getting back together. Year later Ellen moved to Brazil, and that was the last time she ever saw them.

Review

Monster Inc.

Monster Inc, by Peter Deeter, is an excellent movie for children. This great movie is about two monsters, James P. Sullivan and Mike Wazowski. These two monsters are frighteners.

The problem begin when one night a human child called Boo appears in a mysterious door. The two monsters want to send the girl back to her house. But two bad monsters called Ralph and Sr. Waternoose want to eliminate her. Finally after some inconveniences, they can solve the problem but new problems appear. Sullivan cannot leave her because he had grown fond of her. But anyway, he has to leave her go, so he does.

The movie is full of tragic and comic moments as the author intended. This movie was created for children but grown ups also appreciate it and enjoyed it very much.

I thoroughly recommend this movie,it is one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Summary

Monster Inc.

There were two monsters called James P.  Sullivan and Mike Wasowsky who wanted to be frighteners. The got to be the best and they passed Randal (Who was a bad monster). One night, a human girl called Boo appeared. This generated many problems for Sullivan and Mike. However, the main problem was that Randal and Henry J. Waternoose wanted to kill the girl. Finally, they send Boo to her real house and the factory of frighteners starts to be used as a laughter factory.

Diary Entry

In L/L Writing we learnt how to write. Before writing a Diary Entry we made some activities, we saw the theory and we learnt how to write. Then we write 2 Diary Entries, like if we where Dr. Jekyll of the story "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde" and write about the potion he invented in the story.

Here are the 2 Diary Entries I had wrote.

26  June 1839,

Dear Diary,

                   Today was a perfect day, I worked all the day inventing a new potion. The function of the potion is to change into another person when you drink it. It was so tiring when I was making the potion because I was alone, I had to try many times to make the potion work, because all the times I tried, I always had mistakes that made the potion wrong. The most exciting part of the day was when  I was making the potion. It was when Dr. Lanyon came home to see if my project was going well. We talked for a long time and he went to his house. Later I continued with the potion and someone was knocking at the door, but I was so focused on the potion that I couldn't stop for a moment. At 7 O´clock I finished it, it was a light - blue colour. Now i will take a shower because my uncles and their children are coming home to ate dinner. Now I am so tired, I worked a lot in the potion. It was an exciting moment when I finished creating it. Now I will eat and I will go to bed to relax my brain and my body.

Dear Diary, 

                    I had just woken up I don't really remember what happened yesterday, At night after i drank the potion. I only remember pats of the night. It was an awful night. I know that i changed into another person. The potion worked very well but not like my expectations. The man I turned into, was called Mr. Hyde. A repugnant man who looks like a monster, it is violent, cruel and tiny. I remember the moment when I went to laboratory, and I was going to drink the potion. I was sure of what I was going to do. Before I drank the potion I felt like a very old gentleman and like a renovated man, I had renewed energy like a child but with the wickedness of a prisoner. I do not remember much of that night. I will try next time to control more my felling after I drink the potion. I want more and more of the potion but I have to be careful. It was a new experience. Now, I will try to improve the potion more and to make more of it. It was a tiring night, I want to sleep now.

Historical and Sportive

In the Subject Language trough Literature Writing, we learn how to write the description of a place. For writing it we chose a place and we describe it with information token of Internet. If chose the Basque Country.

The Basque Country is an ancient historic country; they are the oldest survival ethnic groups in Europe. This country is located in the North coast of Spain. It is a very small country, it is divided into three small provinces and it has 2,193 million of inhabitants.

What is great about this place is that I had read that is has beautiful mountains that are called Pyrenees, that are located in the north of Spain and in the south of France. It has a very good and rich food quality, wonderful weather because they are near the Equator and beaches.

What is bad about this place is that if you want to travel to there you have to do a lot of paper work because this country has some problems with other countries and it isn´t cheap.

You can have a good time there. The sports you can do are: ball Basque, paddle ball, kayak and Surfing. You can spend a very good time there is a great festival there that is called Basque Festival.

The Basque country is a beautiful country. You can spend a good time, the weather is attractive, the same happens with sports, festivals and it is a historical country and that made it more touristic.
